I'm looking for professional opportunities that will allow me to do what I love most, making maps! I love the artistic and scientific components that go in to cartography, both of which happened to be my two favorite subjects in school.
A litle bit about me: I am currently a Conservation Information Coordinator (CIC) at a wonderful non-profit. As a CIC some of my responsibilities include planning and facilitating meetings with member organizations, acquiring and analyzing (non) spatial data sets as well as creating informal and publication quality maps under various time constraints.
Prior to my current position, I was a grad student pursuing a Master's in GIS, which I completed in 2015. During this time I had two internships one was at my university's GIS and Cartography lab where I consulted clients and coordinated map production, graphs and other illustrations . The second internship was at the Supply Chain Management Institute where I performed tasks such as generating map-based analysis of national commodity flows and manufacturing industries in Wisconsin.
My technical strengths: ArcGIS, cartography, ArcGIS Online, enterprise GIS, Microsoft Office suite, data manipulation and management
My personal strengths: friendly, creative, tenacious, reliable, productive, and industrious
I have a wide array of interest and hobbies including (but not limited to) traveling, playing guitar, keyboard and violin, drawing, reading, writing, baking, attending live music events, learning about different cultures, obsessing over Radiohead and working out.
