Work Experience Summary: Finesse Services from April 2008 to Present
After working for a number of years as a PA and Marketing Manager, I decided to set up a business offering support to businesses who did not have a specific marketing/PA support person or who needed to outsource their work on an adhoc basis. The benefits to businesses are that they have no employee costs to pay, no high agency costs and companies only pay for what they use. I cover a wide range of services from PA support, including admin through to marketing services such as production of collateral and websites and finally event management services for in-house seminars, external functions or exhibitions. Clients include Redcliffe Catering, ISG technology, Calteq Telecommunications, local charities. I provide full PA/Event Management/Marketing to all clients. I have also spent the last two years raising money for various charities by way of organising black tie corporate events including auctions, raffles and sporting events.
Redstone Managed Solutions (a division of Redstone plc) April 2007 April 2008
My role as Marketing Manager/PA to the Managing Director involved the handling of all marketing and campaign activity for the entire division. This included organisation of events, call out days and seminars, together with the production of all collateral, press releases, updates to the Intranet and Internet, liaising with the design agency, PR agency and any publications relevant to our business. I was in constant negotiations with partners which resulted in marketing funds being granted to the business for marketing activity. All activity and lead generation plans were submitted on a monthly basis to the Board. My role as PA included diary managed, booking of external and internal meetings, liaising with the entire division on the MDs behalf. I also provided ad hoc support to the Heads of each divisional team and the sales managers.
IDN Telecom plc July 2005 April 2007 (company was bought by Redstone plc, see above)
My role as Office Manager/PA to Directors involved providing support to three Directors assisting them in diary management, booking of meetings with external clients/customers, the co-ordination of monthly Board papers and full PA support. The role also included production of marketing leaflets, case studies and the organisation of any conferences or events that took place, Personnel issues, recruit of staff and the organisation of social events. The Office Manager role as a whole included booking travel, car hire, meetings rooms - both on and off-site and the completion of expense claim forms for the whole company. I also played a pivotal role in during the buy-out process, compiling all the admin details for staff and the company.

Working for 4 Vice Presidents at the Birmingham branch as PA.
3i plc - Investors in Industry - September 1994 to March 2005 (Redundant)
April 2000 - March 2005
My role as Sector Team PA/Administrator for the European Food and Drink Team, involved providing a PA role to a team of 12 Executives. The role included contact with a number of internal Executives, external companies, Corporates, Intermediaries, Portfolio companies and external Advisers, full organisation of conferences in the UK and Europe (which included finding suitable hotel and venues, co-ordination of hotel bookings, dinners, table plans, presentations, organisation of one-to-one discussions during the events, preparation of handouts and packs of information for all delegates. I also organised regular internal team meetings which were held in various European countries.
I was responsible for producing sector documents for external consumption. This involved liaising with journalists, marketing and corporate/portfolio clients. My role internally included updating the internal website, Internet web pages and co-ordination of meetings with Corporate contacts. All of these duties involved adhering to budgets and collection of feedback after the events.
July 2001 - March 2005
My role as Portfolio Administrator involved looking after 150 loan and nil equity companies. A key element of my work was to ensure all payments were up to date and that we had adequate security covering the loans, therefore liaising with Lawyers on a daily basis with regards to changing security or the set up of the loans themselves.
Industry Group - September 1994 - July 2001
Working as Senior Team Secretary looking after a team of seven Industrial Advisers (previous Managing Directors/Financial Directors) covering a number of industry sectors.
