I have a Bachelor of Education (Honours) degree and got into e-learning after a short spell in the classroom. I started as an instructional designer chucking out hours of cabin crew training. Then I worked for an educational software company and was lead design on a number of prestigious projects for National Learning Network, as well as the bread and butter of National Curriculum material. I developed an interest in web accessibility and disability issues as a result of trying to design truly usable e-learning material.
More recently I've been working in the third sector as a volunteer coordinator and community outreach worker. Last year I completed an Award in Education and Training which qualifies me to work with adults in educational settings. I have also organised a couple of events for disability organisations and worked as an arts and crafts assistant.
My key skill remains always my writing ability. Half of my degree was English Literature and I produced original writing for my final presentation for which I got a first. I have never had time to write a novel but that is where I'm headed.
