Work Experience Summary: October 2003 • Present Freelance Graphic Designer and DVD Producer, Wiltshire
Providing a variety of design and DVD services to new and retained clients in the UK and abroad. Design projects have included product branding, promotional literature and flyers, advertising, point of sale displays, websites, book, calendar and magazine design. Strong typographical skills and quality book design are two of my most requested services. I am happy to provide samples of recent work for reference. I offer web maintenance and hosting services if required.
As a freelance DVD producer I have worked on such titles as Minder, Midsomer Murders, The Saint, Danger Man and The Professionals, providing audio commentaries, talking head interviews / featurettes and sourcing archival material.
I work from a fully equipped studio running three Apple Mac’s (2 x G5 and 1 x G4) with facilities for high-resolution scanning and broadcast quality audio/visual production.

Taking responsibility for sourcing photographic material, designing over 50 of the 200 titles a year, often to extremely tight deadlines and sorting approvals with numerous international companies such as Sony, MGM, Marvel, Columbia Pictures, Canal Plus, the BBC, Channel 4, Emap and Carlton. I was also responsible for managing up to a dozen freelance designers, sourcing and negotiating print both in the UK and abroad. As a designer I won the NBCA (National Business Calendar Award) in 2003 (This Morning Uncovered) and 2006 (The Avengers 2006).
May 2000 • September 2001 DVD Producer, Carlton Video, London
Headhunted to a newly created position responsible to develop the company’s move into the DVD marketplace. I was given full creative control for developing the concepts for menu designs on leading flagship titles such as Thunderbirds (9 DVD Box set), The Prisoner (5 DVD Box Set), Captain Scarlet (6 DVD Box set), a collection of classic Rank films including Brief Encounter, The African Queen, Genevieve, The Red Shoes and The 39 Steps and the popular Silver Collection range. As the producer I was also responsible for planning all aspects of production including budget management, chaptering, viewing check discs, sourcing additional special features (including archival footage thought to have been lost’) and heavily liaising with the design and marketing departments.
