My particular expertise lies in analysing projects, identifying risks and providing solutions to either hedge or allocate those risks to appropriate parties.
I am an accomplished negotiator with direct experience of leading multi-disciplinary teams (financiers, lawyers, technical consultants).
In many of my previous roles, I have served as an interface between specialists and generalists. For example:
Project Finance: I was responsible for assessing a wide range of infrastructure projects (particularly telecoms networks) throughout S.E. Asia from 1997-2000. This involved rigorously unpicking business plans and associated financial models, analysing core assumptions w.r.to demand, pricing, technology performance, competition, economic variables (exchange rates, inflation) etc. Inevitably, this meant hiring specialist consultants (network management, insurance etc.), drafting their brief, reviewing their work and ensuring that their output was 'fit for purpose' i.e. provided information to 'non-technical' bankers in a form that enabled them to assess and price risks.
Area Covered: Worldwide subject to length of contract
