I have worked on large accounts like MG Rover Marketing including many brochures, POS, Mailers and advertising.
I also have a number of years experience working in the welfare to work sector, again producing logos, brochures, flyers, advertising, corporate branding including in centre advertising, front of shop artwork and signage. Window and vehicle graphics, vynil, pull up and exhibition banners and any other in-house design needs.
Along with these areas I have also worked on nightclub branding and flyer designs and small company logos and stationery as freelance work in my spare time.
Area Covered: Birmingham, west midlands
Work Experience Summary: I Studied Graphic Design at a BTEC, ND and HND levels and completed all with merits. I begab my design career working for Leamington Spa College as a junior designer, where I worked on a varied number of prjoects all to do with the college and the services it provided. The college merged with another college and I decided to move on to a role elsewhere.
My next position was a creative artworker for the boxroom in Tamworth where I was working on the MG Rover account. I would work on design files and ready them for print, checking against strict guidlines including colours, fonts and logos etc.
I worked on a varied number of areas including brochures (in multi-language), POS,Mailers, pricelists, corporate MG Rover catalogues. After around 12 monts I was appointed the head of advertising where I was in-charge of all national advertising. I would have to re-size and artwork all adverts for most majour publications and make sure they were all with the publishing houses withing tight deadlines.
Unfortunately MG Rover went into adminstration and I was made redundant at the start of 2005.
My next role was as a freelance designer working for pure leisure marketing in Aston, where I was working on timetables, maps and posters for pontins holiday parks around the UK.
Which lead me onto my role where I am currently and Senior designer for a worldwide welfare to work/recruitment company.
I have worked up through the ranks and now the senior designer for Pertemp People Development Group which is part of the ESH group who are based in Australia. In this role I undertake artwork for both companies including corporate brandling, many different brochure and flyer designs, down to logos and stationery. Its a varied role and very fast paced, with tighjt deadlines.
