A hypnotherapist isn'tmore...I am a qualified hypnotherapist and counsellor - check me out on The National Hypnotherapy Society's approved therapists list on their website. A hypnotherapist isn't a hypnotist - you won't cluck like a chicken, do anything embarrassing in fact instead you will regain control over your life, feel relaxed and remember everything that happens. Modern life is stressful and that stress and anxiety can cause many changes, often in unpleasant and unexpected ways, to how we cope. Therapy can help readdress the balance and get you back to how you used to feel and teach you new techniques to cope going forward. if you are reading this you are already taking those first positive steps forward. I can specifically help with the following:
Stress and anxiety
Fears and phobias
Low self-esteem and confidence issues
Exam and test nerves
Or sometimes you just need someone to really listen and give you the chance to talk aloud and enable you to think things through.
If you think I can help you, please get in touch via email. I will then contact you directly. I do adhere strictly to The National Hypnotherapy Society's Code of Ethics, so you will have to disclose any prior treatment or medication (if you have experience of any) in connection with mental health issues. Occasionally it will be necessary to seek approval from your GP. Please do not be put off by this, approval is usually given and if not for very good reasons. If a hypnotherapist or private counsellor does not do this, you should ask yourself why, and check out their credentials.
I carry out therapy sessions on Mondays and Thursdays, in my clinic room in Glenfield, Leicester. I am just off the main A50 near to County Hall.
By now if you are interested, you will be wondering about the cost. Therapy sessions cost £45 per hour. For most therapies people usually require a weekly session for about 4 weeks, then tapering off to once a month until they feel they no longer require it. Everyone is different, so please bear in mind this is only a guideline.
Just for clarity my qualifications listed below are: a Masters Degree in English and a BA(Hons) in Literature (which I use for my private tutoring in English) and Diploma in Hypnotherapy and Counselling Skills (course accredited by the Royal College of Nursing Accreditation Unit).
I hope I can help.
Thank you for reading this.
