I have proven research, writing, transcription, and editing skills, having produced various interpretive resources to engage actual and virtual museum visitors. These include display case labels and panels, information sheets, scripts for audio tours, web content, podcasts, images, video and subtitles.
IT skills include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Audacity, Cubase, iMovie, Photoshop, Orpheo, WordPress, and Filemaker.
I have experience of steering exhibitions and displays through from start to finish, from selecting and retrieving objects, monitoring them through conservation and photography, historical research, picture and map research, producing of texts, labels, and supporting materials, editing contributions of others, designing the layout and schema and coordinating installation.
I have also produced a number of articles for museum publications and newsletter, and deliver papers at subject specialist conferences. I am a good communicator, undertake visitor research and enjoy giving both formal and informal talks and tours. My work includes experience of working with children, diversity and other learner groups, and I have a lifelong learning qualification and CRB checks to support this.
