I am originally from Carmarthenshire, South Wales and have been living in London since October 2010.
Area Covered: London
Work Experience Summary: • I am currently an intern at IMG Artists London, a classical music artist management company. My role as an intern consists of administrative duties such as posting and filing contracts, updating websites and promoting. Attention to detail is essential in the arts management industry and I believe I have adopted this skill to a very high level.
• I am also currently working occasionally for creative events as a bar tender, a company which provides catering at special events around London and the UK. This role requires high-energy and stamina due to long-hours standing. I enjoy physical challenges of all types therefore this did not prove to be a problem.
• In March 2009 I was a runner for the Welsh TV company “Rondo” during the “Welsh choir of the year” competition; a job that challenged my time keeping and organisational skills moving choirs from rehearsal to rehearsal and to the live show broadcasted on S4C. This required me to be alert and on my feet. From this, I am able to deal with a large sum of people at the same time and keep very tightly to a schedule.
• I am a founding member of Bad Host Theatre Company for which I am co-producer, performer and costume designer. In July 2011 we performed a piece called “Occupied” at the Battersea Arts Centre – a piece that received a recommendation from Lynn Gardner in her blog for the Guardian newspaper. Being a theatre producer and performer requires stamina and the ability to follow through on projects and ideas to a tight schedule. I am very proud of the success of this production and have learnt a lot from the process.
• For 2 years I was a pharmaceutical sales assistant at a privately run pharmacy in Llandovery, South Wales. My ability to communicate with the public is of a very high standard. I am calm, tolerant, and polite and thrive from meeting new people.
