I have been involved in various projects, including prooreading of research thesis, technical and other brochures, and editing of children's fiction and educational books.
I am fluent in Arabic, French and English, having learned all of these language while living in Egypt, France, Francophone Africa and England. Thus, I am not only competent in all three languages but the related cultures as well.
I am in the process of completing my Master of Arts in Translation at the University of the Witwatersrand.
I have been involved in various translation and interpreting projects. These include:
• translation of interviews on DVD
• providing interpreting services for business professionals on work-related trips
• interpreting at global conferences, both locally and internationally.
I have a CTEFLA (Certificate of Teaching English as a Foreign Language) from the Royal Society of Arts, Cambridge as well as a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in English Literature.
I have extensive experience in teaching English and French as a foreign language, both to children and adults. I have been involved in various outreach programmes in Mpumalanga, South Africa where I have facilitated teacher-training programmes in rural schools. I am also involved in teaching business English to non-mother tongue English speakers.
