Ive worked as a Programme Coordinator for Thames Water Plc. As part of my role I am responsible : for managing the Environment Agencies (EA) final effluent collection program, programming it in on a yearly basis, set work on a daily basis for a year, ensuring the 20 strong team collect the samples as per the program and program any reschedules, with them. The main systems I use are Sample Manager and Excel 2003
I also develop KPI reports, reporting on staff and their performance of their work and reporting this to managers on the progress of the work collected
I have excellent communication skills, with the ability to indirectly manage 22+ team members on a daily basis and ensure100% completion rates in whatever field.
I also have excellent IT skills using MS programs like Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Macros and VBA and d/b software such as People Soft, Iproc, AIMS, Cognos and Streamline, which I have used on either a daily basis.
I have also worked as a Technical Analyst for Severn Trent Water , I was responsible for developing Management and Performance reports on a monthly basis, which involves allot of data mining, extraction and analysis and presentation of reports using Power Point. The data analysis involved looking for key changes, trends and developing future 2-5 year forecasts which I brought to the attention of senior managers with possible solutions on how to effectively deal with them. My reports were also developed for management to use in strategic decision making and in meetings with Directors, Clients and the City
I also have good Mathematical skills and experience of accounting. In my current role, I am responsible for daily number crunching and working with statistics to look for trends and changes occurring in business behaviour.
I also have management experience; gained whilst working as a Customer Services Manager, managing a small branch of 6 consultants for a redundancy consultancy company called DBM.
Duties included distributing workload, meeting and greeting new clients, generating new business, looking after the needs and wants of the consultants; book-keeping, stock control and general branch duties as and when I could be available.
This involved alot or face to face contact and group meetings, which has helped me to gain excellent communication and presentation skills.
Overall I feel I have excellent analytical problem solving skills with good customer communication skills and the ability to organize my workload and work to deadlines. I also am able to efficiently get my point across in both reports and face to face meetings to help lead the company forward.
I also have over 2 years experience in the Water Industry, with good site and office experience
