'Reputation is an idle and most false imposition; oft got without merit, and lost without deserving: you have lost no reputation at all, unless you repute yourself such a loser.' ~Iago, Shakespeare, The Moor of Venice, Act II, Scene III, 225-226.
Though much of her education, training, and expertise, is in screenwriting, as a playwright, and ghost writer (memoir, nonfiction books, and novels), she has much experience in writing short nonfiction content and editing or ghostwriting fiction or nonfiction material for other writers. H. writes or edits feature film scripts, screenplay coverage and analysis, stage plays, screenplay treatments, film script synopses and outlines, television and web series content, fiction and nonfiction books, including memoir and books for children, eBooks, pitching documents and leave behinds including query letters, one-sheets, synopsis, treatments, book proposals or TV series pitch documents, author bios and press packets as well as PR, web copy, corporate video scripts, articles for newsletters, eZines, corporate manuals and more.
Dark Eros, KindleFormerly H. penned a monthly column, Notable La Jollans, for the La Jolla Outlook. For that column, she was privileged to interview, photograph and write about several fascinating La Jollans, including Françoise Gilot, an artist and best-selling author who, in 1990, received the Knight in the Legion of Honor for her career as an artist, writer and feminist. Gilot was the lover and creative muse of Pablo Picasso, and the mother of his two children, Claude, and Paloma. H. also interviewed flutist Valery Ugorski and former California Scientist of the year Dr. Ron Evans. H. interviewed documentary filmmaker Rozzi Osterman for San Diego Woman magazine. Her play Dark Eros was produced as staged readings in Los Angeles, one of which starred Jessica Biel, and is now a novella.

She was interviewed by the H Report Fox-26 News about her casting process, interviewing experts and candidates, and other aspects of producing the XE pilot, shot in Houston, Texas, May 2005. 'H is a great editor.' ~Ruth Klein, The Marketing/Time Source owner, business consultant, author, speaker, and coach (clients include Solo-Entrepreneurs, “Corporate Entrepreneurs” ™ and Fortune 500 companies).
Although H. is now a highly prolific creative writer… it wasn’t always this way. It used to take her days to write a few hundred words and it took eight+ painful and embarrassing years to write her first feature film script (read about that in her interview with coach Damien Senn). As she had experienced flow while writing previously so knew it was possible to access that state. She grew determined to release her writer’s block and learn to access Word Flow whenever she wanted. As part of her thesis in screenwriting research, she studied alternative and traditional story development for writers, in the context of hemispheres of the brain, and adapted and designed tools (from self-help, depth psychology, applied brain science, and spirituality) specifically to access Word Flow. Based on her training, education, and expertise, in self-development, transpersonal psychology, spirituality and consciousness work (such as Voice Dialogue), she adapted or created methods so life-changing and positive that she knew she had to share them. It now takes her a fraction of the time to write anything. She’s more creative, happier and more successful.
'H is a pleasure to work with, she is concise, works quickly and is a consummate professional – highly collaborative, she has the unique and rare ability to provide honest creative insight and input and at the same time is completely receptive to story notes and creative feedback. In short… she rocks!' ~Bruce Dear, author Algrath the Family Tree
In the past, H. taught advanced screenwriting coursework (at the Creative Screenwriting Expo in Los Angeles and for Scriptwriters Network, on the CBS Radford Lot, on topics including “Break through Writers Block,” “Alternative Story Development for Screenwriters,” “Screenwriting from Both Sides of the Brain,” and more). In 2006 and 2004, H. was delighted to be named a Star Speaker of Creative Screenwriting Expo by Creative Screenwriting Magazine. She has taught workshops or been an invited speaker at many other venues including Rollins College, Winter Park, FL, the UCF Noontime Knowledge Series, Borders and Barnes and Noble in Orlando, FL, as well as the Pace Center for Girls in both Orlando and Gainesville, FL. Part of her creative expression and life’s work includes creating Word FLOW workshops, books, and products for writers. She consults on projects and facilitates creativity for a limited number of up-and-coming writers and screenwriters, based on her thesis in screenwriting. H. writes in most genres and, due to the diverse projects and opportunities that have come her way, is experienced and competent in most mediums. Highly collaborative (an experienced co-writer with one or more other writers) she also loves writing solo. See books on Amazon written as H.
