I left school at 17 with numerous exam passes (A level Design & Technology, and A level Art, were the two that got me into Art College) the rest were utterly irrelevant.
Become a Window Dresser, Visual Merchandiser, Stylist, and so on...
never in a hundred years, the hours were long, the starting pay was peanuts, and I dont like working in confined spaces, (many a true word spoken in jest) the rest is history.
London Department Store trained, the main thoroughfair into the not so glamorous world of Display, I have travelled half way round the globe in pursuit of my passion for the business (I never knew there were so many shops in Kuwait On-Sea), worked in Sydney with the great Ausie Display Designer Graham Granville-Smith (Mary from the dairy Portas, but better looking) and spent two days without sleep aboard a cross channel ferry dressing out showcases.
My philosophy, have fun taking it seriously.
