Over the last few years I have worked at a design agency developing high end web sites for an array of different clients. Some include, Surrey County Council, Charity events hosted by Henry Holland and big city food outlets such as Pod Food.
I went fully self employed in July 2011 and have grown to excel in the freedom and control of taking care of my own clients and discussing ideas on how to effectively front their business identity online. Let’s face it, there's a huge amount of competition when it comes to having a website that grabs the viewer’s attention.
I enjoy taking on new projects and consider it important to have a happy client.
Area Covered: International
Industry: Information Technology
Summary: I have 4 years commercial experience in web design and web site development. Software and programming languages include Photoshop, illustrator, InDesign, PHP, CSS, HTML5 and CMS's Wordpress and Joomla.
After 2 years of working with highly successful PR agencies across London I started developing my own bespoke CMS platform. Though I didn't finish the development it proved to be an excellent learning tool for getting to know the anatomy of a content management system.
I began my interest in web development as a graphic designer, creating logos, magazine layouts and web site designs all the while learning what made up a website and it was during this time I succumbed to my real passion, PHP and programming. With my combination of design skills and programming competency I feel I am able to successfully take on the most challenging of web related work.
For me design and development is something I would be doing no matter what job I had and for that reason, I'm one of the lucky few who can say they love their job.
