The move saved them several million pound per year because they were producing art-work on Corel Draw at the time and their repro house had to trans-late the files in order be able to accurately print them. They moved to Macs and Illustrator initially and my first task was to initiate all the production staff in this package. All staff were to be trained in the software relevant to their post and any new software that would en-hance their production with due regard to their current abilities and the production process. As well as training them to be proficient in the use of the software, I also instructed them on how to decide which program would be most suitable for a particular job, how to manage file size with regard to output and principles of work flow.
