Roles & Responsibilities include:
• Liaising closely with the Jobcentre Plus, helping unemployed people back into work, giving them the skills required to better themselves in the workplace.
• Helping to develop numerous soft skills in a fast paced pressured and target driven environment through presentations and teaching modules such as CV preparation motivation, identification of barriers preventing people back into work, liaising with prospective employers, one to one support and group work.
I have most recently been employed as a Paint Sprayer at Taylor Engineering and Plastics where my main duties are painting plastic bodywork components for JCB and Caterpillar industrial machinery, Inspired Gaming machines amongst many other components. The finish on these components has to be “A” class and I often prep my own work. I mainly use 2k polyurethane paint with a number of finishes such as soft touch on interior pieces
I have recently self employed but due to the financial situation at the moment I have decided to seek employment with a more established business, I have experience in a varied range of paint finishes and coatings Including powder coating and Industrial painting.
My previous self employment was repairing plastic auto and motorcycle parts and finishing to the required standard, either to original finish or custom. I use mainly water based paint for my custom finishes and basecoat/clear finishes. Clearcoat is usually 2k but I can use a variety of paint systems and clearcoats.
I have experience in Spray Polishing in the furniture industry working on high quality Reproduction Furniture from staining, grain filling, colouring and clearcoat. I have a little experience in French Polishing also.
I have painted machine tools using air dry 2k paint, I have work for Marconi Systems spraying parts for weapons and radar using the spray bake system. I have experience in Stove Enamelling and powder coating gained whilst working on parts for the Concord Aircraft and medical equipment.
I would be happy to give a demonstration of my skills if required to and I am available anytime to do this.
