I have started two non-profits - one a theater company so I have experience writing press releases, marketing and PR as well as basic admin - typing 80wpm. I have also been a publishing assistant. How can I help you - doing research, editing, catching up on your typing or building and communicating a campaign?

Summary: I have worked as an administrator or office manager for more than twenty years while at the same time starting two non-profits orgs - organising events, getting significant and extensive press, raising grants and organising publicity.
While I am working on my business plan for my own business I am looking to help others achieve their dreams - helping with their administration, research or organisation.
I have also been a language coach - while living in the Netherlands I assisted individuals with English through appreciation of British and American drama.
I am originally from California - living in the Netherlands for four years and have been in London for just over a year. I am a US/UK citizen with an Italian mother. I speak Italian and know basic Dutch.
Some companies I've worked for are Barclays, Citibank, International Bureau for Fiscal Documentation in Amsterdam, Swissmetal, webMethods software and educational non-profits Neighborhood Youth Association in Los Angeles and Alternative Schools Network in Chicago.
I am looking now to use my extensive corporate experience for more individual help - assisting individuals with their PR, marketing, general admin, research, grantwriting or editing.
My own interests are in social enterprise - which means charity meets business, helping ethical and Fairtrade, global south economic development and human rights. While planning to build a business in the flower industry in the charitable arena I am looking to supplement my income assisting others with their business or enterprise.

Description: Founded this non-profit/foundation transitioning to social business connecting the message of peace, the Fairtrade flower industry and a community valentine expression - Valentinepeaceproject.org. Also began activities for the UN Peace Day - 21 September. Through forming this organisation I have learned event management, fundraising, grantwriting and volunteer coordination and organisation. I have also built partnerships with schools, community centers and businesses.
Previous to this I was a theatrical curator and performer and co-founder of a US dance performance company - so experienced in non-profit artistic development, creating a Board of Directors and raising funds, support and publicity.
Summary: I went to UC Santa Barbara also for two years before transferring to USC in Los Angeles.
