Design knowledge and focus include human factors for end user, serviceability and Design For Manufacture & Assembly. I have become a designer with the attitude to change things, always believing that everything can be improved; fixed and redesigned keeping the function the same but perspective different. Reinventing the wheel is not what I try to achieve, but always questioning and learning to improve the design, the manufacturing and cost implications have certainly become noticeable and influenced others to follow in pursuit.

Job Title: Design Engineer
Description: Working in a fast paced company within the R&D department is continually pushing me as a designer. I have had a fantastic opportunity to liaise and work with world leading engineers in a multi-disciplined environment on a variety of projects and products.
Covering a broad spectrum of the design process from initial conceptual design, 3D CAD modelling and rendering, to releasing designs for manufacture and production. Design development stage included setting up and understanding the supply chain within the business for ease of efficiently and functionality. Main aspects within the department is work and liaise with the OEM design teams, to develop a machine specifically to their design requirements.
Other areas included the identification of manufacture and supplier errors in parts or assemblies during build process where has gone unnoticed in past. Tidying up these errors was to help improve the efficiency and flow of production within the business.
