Ideally I am looking for additional evening and weekend work, but I can be available for a limited amount of daytime work if advanced notice is given.
During my career I have provided 2nd-3rd line support to a wide variety of companies from the smallest with a handful of computers to some of the largest organisations in the UK.
I have excellent hardware and software problem solving abilities honed by 15+ years of experience in desktop support.
I have experience of most Microsoft Operating systems since Windows 3.1. I currently work in a Server 2003-2008 environment with Exchange 2007 and a mix of Windows 7 PCs and Citrix terminals. I have extensive experience of supporting Windows XP and Vista. At present I am trialling the Windows 8 Consumer Preview and Server 8.
I have access to and experience of a variety of remote support tools including RDC, Dameware and VNC.

Extensive experience and knowledge of Windows XP-Vista-7 and Server 2003-2008-2008R2.
Good knowledge of MS Active Directory and Group Policy.
Experience of supporting MS Exchange 2003-2007 Servers and Outlook clients.
Excellent knowledge of mainstream MS software products, including Office 2003-2007-2010, Visio and Project.
Good working knowledge of Network infrastructure technologies, including Routers, Switches, ADSL and VPN.
Good working knowledge of a range of Anti-virus and security products including offerings from Kaspersky, McAfee, Symantec and Sophos.
Experience of configuring and supporting Mobile devices such as Windows Mobile, iPhones and Blackberries.
