I am proactive when implementing changes to the system, identifying possible issues, making contingencies if they occur.
I effectively plan and manage change, look at bigger picture throughout and am flexible and adaptable where necessary but confident in my decision making skills to stand over a recommendation I have made. I am logical and work in a thorough and methodical way, involving my team in this process, developing their competence and providing them with development opportunities.

Job Title: IT Manager
Description: My role is very much hands on working in a team of people. I am responsible for the provision, support and administration of IT infrastructure services including over 60 servers, over 70 desktop, local area networks, IT security and telecommunications. These systems include SharePoint Servers, windows server based systems, SQL servers and exchange email systems.
I am responsible for procurement of all IT hardware, software licensing and maintenance agreements with which I work closely with the board of directors and senior management. This is to propose, agree and deliver IT service to defined Service Level Agreements and in addition provide a monthly written report to the directors on all aspects of the IT Department, for the company records.
One of the major projects that I have lead at the company, has been the companies drive migration of systems to SharePoint 2010. As part of the project I am responsible for design, implementation and Administration of the systems all the way through from UAT to final go live. I am responsible for administration of SharePoint 2010 for everything from backups, search services and the creation of sites. Training users about the new solution has also been part of my role and I have spent time demostrating the added benefits that the new Sharepoint systems will bring, for example how they can use My Sites.
Job Title: IT Manager
Description: During my time at the company I project managed using the PRINCE2 standards, the design, planning and implementation of various new systems. These new systems included a new Active Directory system, Exchange 2007, SQL Server 2005, SharePoint 2007, Clarion SAN solution and new network infrastructure. As part of the project I had to ensure the maximum availability and security of computer systems and data throughout the company whilst integrating and migrating data from the old system onto the new SAN infrastructure.
The database system that was used at the company was SQL Server 2005 which I was the administrator for, was for the SharePoint 2007 intranet system and for bespoke databases that are used in the various departments. I have been using SQL servers from version 2000 but I have updated my skills recently by attending two official Microsoft SQL training courses.
As part of my role I was responsible for the design, development and maintenance of the company website and CRM system. The CRM system was based on SharePoint and asp and was used throughout the business for everything from business forms, to project management.
I tailored each department site held on the SharePoint server to each department"s individual need whilst keeping the overall objective of companywide project management system. I have achieved the customisation of the sites by using SharePoint designer and using my knowledge of visual basic to create more dynamic web pages.
Being the IT Manager, I worked closely with the Finance Director and other board members to agree budgets, review current projects and to create and improve upon current IT company policies.
Although my role was very much hands on being the senior member of a team of 4, it was my responsibility to organise their daily tasks and advise them on any technical issues. I ensured that the team reported progress or issues on through the companies" helpdesk system. This allowed me to manage the staff more effectively and allowed me to maintain better communications with other departments
