Job Title: Editor
Company: SHUffle Radio
Description: During university, I was voted as editor for a radio show. This was an assignment, where we had to successfully create and broadcast a radio show. I took on the role with great enthusiasm and commitment. The 10 weeks before the final show involved a lot of hard work, which I took head on. I ran meetings every week with my team, collecting various ideas and putting them into action. I was determined to make sure we all worked well together, but knowing that each individual can work to their own devices. If anything went wrong, I was relied upon when problems occurred and I never let anything defeat my team or myself. I gave constructive criticism and praise to people, making sure they were doing their part successfully. Everyone had an equal role, and I made sure everyone knew they could talk to me about anything. Despite being the editor, I let the team get involved in decisions so I knew everyone was happy with the final running order. I constantly recorded and edited radio items in my own time. I organised interviews and guests for the show, making sure everything went smoothly. I also worked on scripts for presenters, the news team and sports team. I loved acting as the editor of a radio show. I achieved the highest grade within my group, which was a 1st, and gained a lot of recognition for my hard work.
