After working as a copywriter in both an SEO agency and a major higher education institution, I started working as a freelance writer so that I could fit my work around further study. I also hold a First in BA (Hons) English Studies from the University of Nottingham
I've written several major websites, numerous articles on a wide range of subjects and conversational blog posts. I specialise in SEO copy and have previously written meta-data, directory submissions and keyword-optimised web copy for an SEO agency client.

Description: Completed a 4 month internship working with the School's academic managament on the 'Excellence with Impact' initiative. This was a competition between various science departments in universities across the country designed to assess efforts to improve the culture of 'impact' in British universities.
My role was initially to assess and re-write a large number of technical case studies of academics' research, for the purpose of translating them into accessible copy to be used for a publicity/marketing purpose. I then developed a new intranet site for the School using these studies, along with developing other materials to provide research support.
I then wrote a major new section on the School's website around the area of impact, using the case studies again but also adding a substantial amount of original material. I was responsible for deciding the section's structure and content, and how best to utilise the resources available to me.
