Including Swing Dancer for Cats Tour, Dancer and Singer on Grease Tour, Dance Captain on 'Magic of the Musical's' theatre show, featuring in a Honda advert and filming with Tim Burton. I also worked at Stagecoach Uxbridge as an Early Stages Specialist teacher of dance and drama, this position required me to plan lessons, choreograph weekly and termly, and assess and report on each child. This gave me an introduction to teaching and allowed me to give back some of what I had learnt.
For the next four years I was involved in the world tour of 'Le Paris Can Can'. I quickly progressed to position of soloist, adagio duet and Dance Captain. So was fully involved in the performance and had the additional responsibility of maintaining the standard of the show, ensuring the welfare of the company, resolving issues, and liaison between all stakeholders. This was a very demanding yet rewarding position that required versatility as a performer and adaptability as a company member.
I also had the position of Duty Manager at the Watford Palace Theatre. This position demanded all my managerial duties whilst overseeing and directing a team of staff, liaising with the public and coordinating with back stage. An environment I was at ease in. I also ran a junior after school dance club and taught Dance in the secondary Amersham School. This reignited my desire to continue my personal development and improve my methods of teaching.
Alongside my performing work I was employed as an area manager for a silver specialist jeweller for ten years, a position that required my ongoing input and development of procedures to assist in the company's future success.
In 2009 I completed a BA (Hons) Dance Education Degree, to further broaden my knowledge in the education field, which led to recently achieving my QTS with outstanding grading, to enable me to teach in Secondary Schools. Since then I have worked at the Oasis Academy Enfield, as a Teacher of Performing Arts and Head of Dance, most notably introducing a new Dance GCSE course.
In January 2016 I joined the award winning live event production company in the role of project manager, combining my creative and professional skills.
I am dedicated, versatile, disciplined and conscientious, qualities that are essential to succeed in life but also crucial for this role. As a mature and experienced individual, I can guarantee a hard-working ethic and dedication to the position, combined with a life long devotion to dance I believe I would be an ideal candidate for this opportunity.
