If I was given the tools necessary to fix a situation to make things right, I threw myself into it completely. Being a people person, the first thing I do is put myself in the other person's shoes. Understanding the issue and how it affects the other person gives me the passion to want to use my knowledge and experience to make things right. Active listening skills play a major role in this. Whether it is a customer, a co-worker, an employer--it doesn't matter, I always look for a common thread between us. Through my honesty and willingness to do a good job and do the best I can, I gain that person's trust and we work out whatever situation that needs to be worked out. In order to accomplish this, I stay steadfast to my commitments and never "drop the ball". My take on all this is the other person gains a whole new level of respect for you and the company you represent. It's actually an awesome feeling at the end when it all works out and the person is not only happy with the resolution but happy that a commitment was made and fulfilled, as promised in the beginning. That's me.
