I have training and experience in communication through verbal or written means to BA (hons) standard and in particular i am experienced in writing reports for different audiences.
I have 3 years previous experience working in tele-marketing, sales and customer services for a large retailer of electrical goods. I was fortunate to have training in this role and was able to further develop customer service skills and my knowledge of the business. An excellent telephone manner, IT skills and ability to think quickly and resolve problems whilst sticking to company policy were required for this role.
I left my role as customer service advisor and sales represetative to work as an Assistant Clinical Psychologist which i have done for the last 10 years. During this time i have worked within different services with both adults and families including children. I have skills including administering and scoring psychometric tests, observational skills, functional assessment, planning and carrying out structured pieces of work with individuals and groups of people/children and report writing. Initially, my interests were mainly in Forensic Psychlogy although i have now worked in other areas and my interests have broadened as a result of this. I currently enjoy working with children and adolescents with learning disabilities and their families.
I am passionate about Psychology and about understanding behaviour. I have good skills in sourcing and collating evidence and i enjoy planning all aspects of research methodology and carrying out research or audits. I am also trained and skilled in analysing both quantitative and qualitative data.
My IT skills are mainly self taught although i have had some training in specific systems required for the use of retrieving and inputting confidential, accurate data. I have also recieved some training in Excel and Access and am proffiecient in using these as well as Word. I have skills in writing and am a fast typer as i type my own letters and reports and format these too. I enjoy descriptive writing and am also able to produce Power Point presentations.
I like to organise my work and i also need to be organised in my personal life too as i have two horses and two dogs and i look after them myself so time management is very important so that all my animals are taken care of. Care of my animals is very important to me. Some of my animals are recused and i am very interested in animal welfare. I enjoy riding one of my horses in my spare time and walking my dogs. I have a strong interest in animal behaviour and i enjoy spending time working with my horses to improve our communication and to teach them new things.
Carly took on a creative project for link building and came through with flying colours... Very happy with her work and I look forward to working with her again!
