The Bollington Group, Adlington House, Bollington, Macclesfield, Cheshire Personnel Administrato Mar 2003 April 2007
I began working for The Bollington Group part-time as a telemarketer ring both small local companies and national companies to check renewal dates for there insurance to make arrangements to contact them nearer there renewal date to produce a quote for the insurance policies. I was in this role for 3 months when they asked me to move full time and change to marketing executive role; This incorporated the telemarketing but gave me additional duties and responsibilities, these included completing statistical analysis of the calls and the telemarketing staff to make sure call targets are met and that the time is served proactively by having the various telemarketers contacting the type of client which they have the greater success rate in. During my time in this role I was working a lot closer with the marketing manager and gaining a lot of knowledge and experience in the various marketing aspects for the company through many bespoke jobs, including working out marketing budgets, advertising, promotional events, ROI analysis, attending board level meetings and department managers meetings, liaising with customers and service suppliers. Further knowledge was also collected due to the company re branding so I had to learn quickly to promote the new brand logo and companies work ethos, to maintain to companies high standards and check the correct art work was on all materials and that all correspondence for the company was generic for the whole company. I was in this role for several years and gained a lot of experience under the marketing manager so much so that when he left the firm in 2006 I was offered the position as marketing manager on a temporary basis whilst they located a marketing company to outsource the marketing dept with the company growing at such a rapid pace (when I started they had 70 employees but this had risen to 230 members of staff). So for several months I aided with the change to out source the marketing department, once this was complete I was promoted to board support which was a bespoke role responsible for project management for the board of directors and to work as a link between the directors and the department managers to make sure all aspects of the company are running to plan and deadlines are being kept. Finally in my last few months with the company I worked as both board support and personnel administrator maintaining all personnel records for the staff and arranging any training for the employees to maintain the qualifications of the brokers to keep up with the requirements of the FSA, The job also included regular health and safety checks as well as being responsible for the facilities managers duties. Whilst at The Bollington Group I was also selected to take part in a case study for investors in people to demonstrate the possibility of progression within the company structure, this was published in the Mail on Sunday in October 2006.
