It's pronounced 'Bear-ee.' I'm a native of Florida, I love my rescue dogs, and I've always been intrigued by true crime documentaries. Professionally speaking, I'm an enthusiastic self-starter, and I believe I have a leg-up on the other potential "people per hour" due to the unique combination of my occupational experiences and personal passion. A long-time interest in philanthropy took me from a career in aggressive financial sales to a Master's Degree in Nonprofit Management, then onto a related role in fundraising. Throughout my career, I've recognized my natural ability to build relationships and have seen it translate far and wide across industries. To better showcase this, I've summarized my responsibilities and competencies in each of the three positions I've held over the past decade for further review:
Marketing Program Coordinator, Texas De Brazil: I represented the restaurant in the high-volume theme park area of Orlando, Florida, and was charged with increasing the number of referred guests from hotels and independent concierge companies. In one year, I engaged nearly 50 unique, existing partner groups and recruited 13 new, desirable ones; successful referred guest reservations increased by 80% subsequently. I also assisted in front-of-house management in an effort to ensure the best experiences for referred guests and thus, my partners in our program; through this responsibility, I gained experience in event planning.
Retail Sales Representative, Fifth Third Bank: My success in this position completely depended on the recruitment, support, recovery, and retainment of clients, so I served as the banking center's direct representative to everyone who called, emailed, or walked in with questions, comments, or concerns. I was responsible for creating a personal book of business from scratch, so I gained extensive experience in cold calling techniques (phone, F2F, email, mail). Additionally, I was charged with motivating a team of 5 tellers to watch for cues, refer customers, and assist me in making sales. During my tenure, I assisted in excelling my banking center from 14th to 2nd rank for sales, and enjoyed the pursuit and capture of many productivity related awards such as the President's Excellence Award for Top Personal Banker in my affiliate in 2012, #2 producer in affiliate's small business campaign within a few months of being hired in 2011, and #1 in 'One Bank' Mortgage Referrals in the affiliate in 2013.
Assistant Director, Annual Giving, USF Health Development: After being promoted and assigned to focus more on the USF Health Morsani College of Medicine, I was tasked with creating and executing strategies for two concurrent fundraising campaigns simultaneously. My main responsibilities included prospect research; volunteer recruitment, training, and management; direct mail concept design; creation and segmentation of email follow-up; social media management; personal outreach and individual solicitation (for corporations and foundations, too); data entry; persuasive writing; and relationship management. My greatest accomplishment was increasing the proceeds of one of these campaigns tenfold in 3 years. In 2016 it was recognized as the top grossing campaign of its kind among 164 accredited medical schools in North America, and in 2017, it was recognized by the Council for Advancement & Support of Education with prestigious regional and International awards. Additionally, I was ranked #2 for contacts made in 2016 among the Foundation's numerous development directors.
I am open working on a variety of project types, so please don't hesitate to ask for clarification regarding my experience or interests.
