Work Experience Summary: I have over 5 years financial management experience. This has been gained mainly within the local government and the last two years in an NHS setting. I have therefore gained extensive experience in preparing and providing detailed information to the budget holders in order to aid them in their decision making process. On a daily basis I am responsible for providing reports in response to their queries like costing reports, trend and comparative reports etc. I am responsible for the budget monitoring of my area, with a budget of over £40m, preparation of monthly reports, forecasting, and variance analysis.
I have also gained a lot of experience in the year end procedures, closing of the accounts as well as working closely with the auditors in order to supply them with the supportive documentation and deal with their queries in a prompt and efficient manner.
During these years I have gained experience of Business planning, through preparation of several analysis works for the Senior Finance Manager. These have included setting up new costing sheets, setting up and updating a savings plan with savings target for each directorate, carrying out reconciliation work for the WTE, uploading the budget etc.
On a monthly basis I have to set up and maintain accrual models for several of our drugs providers. This involves investigating the ledger and translating the data to excel in order to analyse it.
