My most recent senior management position was as London Head of Operations for a large Housing and Social Care provider. I made the leap from senior management to freelance trainer and consultant in September 2009.
My main area of client expertise is with people with learning disabilities and individuals with physical, sensory and communication impairment. I also have experience of managing mental health and older people’s services. In addition I have significant experience of management and leadership practice, service development and strategy, quality assurance (including service user involvement and policy and procedure development, successful new business tendering and change management. My particular interests lie in supporting services and teams to work towards positive change and best practice in delivering person centred care and support, with particular reference to the current transformation agenda.
I have experience across a range of service types, including registered care, Supporting People services, and other community based projects.
I have excellent interpersonal and communication skills at all levels. I believe I am a focused and creative problem solver with a good understanding of team and corporate dynamics and politics, particularly in respect of change agendas.
I have achieved a MSc in Applied Psychology of Learning Disabilities and a Certificate of Education.
