I have both created my own article concepts and completed assignments. I have also edited many articles, creative writing pieces, and professional documents for grammar and content.
I worked with a radio station for four years, organising large-scale events such as concerts including: contract negotiation, venue hire, security, hospitality, catering, rider fulfillment, arranging technical specifics, guest lists, transportation, and marketing. I was responsible for hiring a department to assist with the general smooth running of the concerts. Marketing included promotional materials, posters, press releases, and liaising with local media.
Working marketing and promotions for an alternative/indie radio station required a great attention to the music business industry, including attending the College Music Journalism Music Marathon Conference and Festival. Living with a DJ in vibrant East London and maintaining friendships in the music industry has helped me stay well connected to current trends in independent and retro music. I am able to write about this objectively or subjectively as my own musical taste spans from 60\'s pop, soul, rock, and R&B to 70\'s punk, powerpop, and mod revival. I also have a great appreciation of modern independent music and music writing.
