I have experience in training, as American Express Travel’s UK Technology Trainer, at Sabre, where I was responsible for training Sabre subscribers throughout Europe, at ASM and also for airports globally through ACI. During my 19 years with American Airlines, I held a number of Sales management roles, latterly as Head of Sales Development, UK and Ireland, where I was responsible for all UK and Ireland travel agency sales and corporate accounts whose annual revenue was valued up to $1 million. I was also responsible for American Airlines’ UK and Ireland travel agency commission budget. In this role I managed American Airlines Account Managers based throughout the UK and Ireland.
In addition to my sales role, I also spent almost two years assigned to a head office team evaluating new route opportunities throughout Europe and Latin America for American Airlines.
I also spent three years I working with Airport Strategy and Marketing (ASM) Ltd, as both Strategic Route Delivery Director, where my role was to lead the sales campaigns of ASM’s Airport clients globally in securing their most important strategic new route targets, in markets as diverse as Malaysia, South Africa, Croatia and the UK, and then as Airline Relations Director, responsible for managing ASM’s relationship and strategic understanding of airlines and tour operators globally. I was also responsible for managing ASM’s airline relations team based in its offices globally.
I now continue my role within aviation as a consultant, offering support to airlines, airports and associated companies in developing and delivering sales campaigns, market evaluation and training. This work has also included the development and delivery of sales and marketing campaigns in the executive aviation market, and handling survivors, family and the media in times of aviation crisis.
