I can also advise on woodland management, green issues, micro energy generation and other aspects of sustainable living. I am finishing extending my own house (loft conversion, remodelling and extending ground floor) which I have done completely on my own. The cost to completion will be about 25% of the cheapest quote from building companies and the result, if it was to be certified, is a passive house standard!!!
I can offer professional translations and interpreting from Russian to English and English to Russian and advise on working practices in Russia and UK
Area Covered: UK/Worldwide remote working
Work Experience Summary: Since graduating in 1987 from King's College, London with a Physics and Astrophysics Degree I worked for a number of financial institutions ending up in a VC company which specialised in Eastern Europe. I was involved in target evaluation, contract negotiations and management support of the target companies. Bilingual Russian speaker I concentrated on the countries of the former Soviet Union.
In 2000 changes in family circumstances (babies) necessitated career change (I wanted to be a father that the kids knew). This allowed me to concentrate on my hobby of sustainable living and woodland management which became a job I love. In 2007 I qualified as an assessor of the Code for Sustainable Homes. My wide knowledge of environmentaly friendly and sustainable products and building solutions will save time (and money) to anyone undertaking a new build or home conversion. Furthermore, my woodland management skills and knowledge of traditional rural crafts and wide contacts with traditional craftsmen (and women) have proved invaluable time and again. And I almost completed rebuilding my own house on my own and in 18 months.
