Starting out as a Bookkeeper for a small film production company and working myself up to the Senior Management Accountant for one of the UK's largest outdoor media agencies, I have worked in various industries (Oil & Gas, Pharma, Digital Advertising, Outdoor Media, Hospitality and Event Management) and roles in the last 20 years, which has given me a vast and varied skill set one would not necessarily acquire if one had followed a more traditional route of ’corporate ladder climbing’.
I quit my corporate career 6 months ago, in favour of the unending horizon. Prior to that I was working remotely across time zones for two months in a senior finance management role - this was an experiment, for both myself and the company I was working for at the time, and both of us were blown away by the results. Remote working has taught me crucial communication skills and hacks that save both parties time and money. This experience is what pushed me to become a freelancer.
In my private life I have worked on large scale art installation projects, from writing initial proposals and budgeting, right through to on-site logistics and production. I am extremely organised and rarely drop the ball.

Experience includes: UK personal tax returns; full bookkeeping function (on Xero, Quickbooks, Sage); sales reporting, forecasting and analysis; data analysis of key indicators for management, planning and strategy purposes; cash flow forecasting; budget management, tracking and analysis; debtors and creditors reporting and control; finance and administration system design, improvement and implementation; bank and credit card reconciliations; payroll processing; invoicing; project accounting; personal assistant services (including diary management, booking travel, meeting minutes, call screening, event planning, transcribing).
