Hello! I'm looking for a video editor for a new YouTube channel I'm starting. I'm trying to make around 1 video per month about a wide range of topics, mostly about personal relationships, starting with some video adaptations of blog posts I've published at https://billmei.net/blog/ The final video ranges in length from 5min-30min. Individuals preferred, not agencies ❤️ I'll be doing my own script writing and filming, and can give you completed 4k video files + external audio files to edit, trim silences, add B-roll, etc. I'll share these via Dropbox and Google Docs. You can then upload your completed video file to the same Dropbox folder, as well as your project files (Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, etc.) so I can make further edits if necessary. I'm also learning about video production and what makes for a "good" edit, so my hope is that over time I can rely on you for the overall creative direction. We can chat more in detail but maybe initially I can be more detailed about specific requests for e.g. exact descriptions of where to add b-roll, nitpicky requests for where to do cuts and transitions, but my hope is that over time you'll be able to put into practice your creative vision for the video, and we get to a point where I can just give you the raw video file and you can work autonomously to put together the edits you think work best.
