1100, very simple illustrations to be created
1. Introduction Infinity is a powerful educational application that enables teachers to curate interactive digital quizzes from a bank of procedurally generated questions, providing infinite possibility. A native Android and iOS application will be available for students to use to complete these quizzes and their results and answers to be tracked by the teacher. This document outlines the image and picture specifications for the Infinity application. It provides a structured breakdown of required images. The primary purpose of this specification is to offer clear guidance on the image expectations and requirements set forth for the Infinity project. The specifications defined below are subject to amendments as the requirements for the Infinity application grow. Objective The objective of this specification document is to: Clearly define the image requirements of the Infinity application. Ensure consistency in images across various mathematical topics. 2. Deliverables To maintain a consistent, high-quality visual experience for Infinity users while also optimizing application performance, specific deliverable standards have been set. 2.1 File Format For every image produced we require an AI (Adobe Illustrator) file. Using AI files will allow the developers to convert these images into SVG files. 2.2 Size The Infinity application has been designed to fit into a 16:9 ratio screen that is 1280px by 720px. The imagesshould fit within these dimensions. However, the images will scale depending on the space requirements of the question. 2.3 Existing Images Due to the number of images required, any images that already exist should be reused as they are, for now. Due to the changing space requirements, it may not be possible to make all the lines appear the same thickness between images. However, it may be deemed that after testing any existing images once in the software, newer versions may be required. 2.4 Colours The colours of the existing images don’t need changing either. We are happy for these to remain as they are. 2.5 Delivery Mechanism All image files should: Be appropriately labelled and organized for easy reference. Be delivered via a shared Google drive specific to the Infinity project, to be determined later. Please communicate any challenges or concerns regarding these deliverables as early as possible. Collaboration and open communication will ensure the timely and high-quality completion of this project. 2.5 Access to Application Development Builds White Rose Education will provide: Access to a server containing a development build of the Infinity software. This is to be used as a demonstration application to gain experience of using the application. This server will be subject to on-going change as the application is developed. 3. Images Specification Below is the detailed list of images that are required for the Infinity application. Where necessary, details regarding the image have been provided. Where details haven’t been provided please design an image that is consistent with the other images in the specification. The images provided are for reference to the UI that will trigger the sound in the application. It has also been flagged where the UI is subject to change upon review. Some images contain multiple states of the UI (for example the buttons).
Assistant book layout artist
I need assistant book layout artist to help me perform corrections and edits to a manuscript intended for book publication. The book is already formatted using adobe InDesign CC in book style (every chapter is in separate file - so I have about 32 chapters including preliminaries and index) Currently the project is at a stage where the author make corrections to the laid out manuscript. And as the book layout artist, I need to make the corrections so that it is good to be printed. Additionally, I need freelancer to perform cleanup to the paragraph style (making sure all paragraph style in all file is consistent and remove unused style) Due to high volume of work in my department, I need freelancer to undertake this job. Book details: 1) about 650 pages 2) 30 chapters 3) genre: nonfiction, academic, multidisciplinary in pure science 4) manuscript deals with images, mathematical formulas and scientific notations. Expected tasks for freelancer 1) Majority of the text is formatted with predefined paragraph style. However, because it is a long book, there might be issues in consistency. Therefore, freelancer need to make sure text is consistent throughout all chapters. Cleaning up unused paragraph style is a must. 2) Perform edits and corrections to the manuscript according to notes written by author 3) making sure the whole manuscript is properly style, professional looking and ready to print. This may require a good creative set of eyes in editorial design. 4) Improve TOC design and updates 5) register chosen terms of index and update index page. The index page is already written. however, it is not dynamic yet as it is not registered using index panel, Manuscript will be shared only to shortlisted candidate. Candidate who are willing for online interviews will be preferred. Candidate who are willing to update regularly (every two days) will be preferred.

Logo & card back for a card game
*Overview* NOTE: ALL examples available in this Google Doc: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1c_ukP28kO5vjo_pL3fdXL7W5Lp-DoIg8fHPEiCjuV-s/edit?usp=sharing “21X” is a simple maths puzzle game - it's basically an algebraic version of Blackjack (see figure 1). We need to create a) a logo and b) a card back with a well-integrated version of the logo on it, to begin a launch campaign for the game. The timeline is very tight, so this will not be the final version: Instead we are planning to re-brief to the winner of the proposal again after the initial launch to give them more time to refine their design. We want to be proud of this (it's not just a brainstorm) but the emphasis should be more on getting the concept right, rather than the execution perfect. We will not be updating the art of the front of the cards (see figure 1) for now but the card back could do with improvement, integrating the new logo you will design. We would like the back you deliver to be "oversized" so we can wrap the edges around a digital box render to create a digital box mockup. The card back itself should be 63mm x 88 mm - with a total additional bleed of 25mm on each size to allow it to wrap in the digital mockup. We are not making this a separate deliverable (yet) but we will brief the box to the winner of this first project. First, compared to the example in figure 1, the cards need to be more ornate and much more eye-catching. Second, we want it to carry a new 21X logo at the centre of the card. This will make the game highly recognisable as it will be seen all the time by players (much like Uno) giving them no doubt as to what they were playing when they are telling their friends about it. The logo should be also delivered as an element on its own as well as fully integrated with the card, so it can be placed on pages, materials etc. For background: the game itself is aimed primarily at maths puzzle enthusiasts or friends of maths puzzle enthusiasts looking for a stocking filler gift: something small that can be played at parties, Christmas etc in under 10 minutes. There is a secondary educational market for the game, but this is not such an important consideration: we want to make it work visually for the first audience group as a priority. *The logo itself* The logo needs to communicate the mathiness of the game, but it also needs to be in line with an overall aesthetic that recalls so-called “casino quality” playing cards that speak to a kind of glamour, associated with high stakes card games. The ”21” part of the name would seem to best fit a Nouveau or Art Deco (or similar style) execution that speaks to the eras in which card games started gaining the international glamour associations they have today. It should be well integrated with the styling of the card back when executed on it, and therefore it probably is well defined by the overall card back’s style. We think the x of the logo needs to be a very clear allusion to the mathematical element. It wants to look like the sloping serif little ‘x’ typically associated with equations, or mathematical papers like these (see figure 2). *Card back* “Casino style” playing cards can be very ornate (see figure 3). We think something along the lines of the examples are very much the look we want to go for (which the current prototype has somewhat gone for too - but is rather too plain). Gold would almost certainly form some part of the design. To avoid the possible mistake of people thinking these are an ordinary set of playing cards a small subtitle just below on a box design saying “Maths puzzle game” would be a good addition to ensure this can't happen. The pattern designs like those above could just be similar nouveau-inspired or deco-inspired visual ideas. But another option could be to ape the styling, strokes and layout of the patterns but actually include mathematical symbols or repeating patterns like spirals, geometric shapes or fractals etc; maybe even equations themselves. We have had some designs created and paid for already (see figure 4) as part of a first stage. But we realised they weren't right so we re-drafted the brief here to better focus on what we wanted. We don't want taglines on the card other than "maths puzzle game" discreetly shown at the bottom. These example designs are not quite ornate enough especially 4b, which seems too flat and slightly overly floral The colours are not right and don't fit that casino feeling. Both 4a and 4c are too flat and too "wild west" in style rather than 20th century. The logo doesn't look like it clearly enough of a mathematical reference. What we did like about them is the "vintage" feel they were capturing. Figure 4a) is closer to the level or ornate design on the card back - but could be much richer but its logo is very "wild west / cowboy" which isn't right at all. 4c) again has more ornament but the back looks very weathered which takes away the glamourous, opulent feel that's required.

I need a logo design for my tutoring business
I need a simple logo design for my mathematics tutoring business. The design should incorporate the name "Jamie Bell Tutoring" as well as a symbol which captures the idea of mathematics tutoring. While the symbol should be recognisable, I don't want it to be cliche like a calculator or something like that. I would love to see your creativity, I don't want something I could create with a free logo maker, so I am really looking for something which makes your design standout. For instance, the design might incorporate the initials "JB" into the symbol, or some other element which makes my logo unique. I have attached a few reference logos which I hope will be helpful.
Preliminary ideas for App Logo Design
I am looking for a digital artist to produce preliminary sketch/design ideas for an app logo with the potential of further payment for a more refined design if I feel your initial design is appropriate for the app. I have developed an app that uses simplistic material design principles. The logo should reflect this. It is an educational science app with an emphasis on the mathematical skills in science. The logo should embody 'mathematical science'. The app is named SciCal (Science Calculations). The 10£ payment is for the quick initial sketch ideas. Further payment to refine the design on agreement.

Produce 5 possible designs for a logo (PNG format)
It's our company's 30th anniversary shortly; we sell professional mathematical typesetting software. We want to replace the "25 years" logo (graphic attached) which appears on our website - see https://www.sciword.co.uk/index.htm (home page) and https://www.sciword.co.uk/v6-0.htm (other pages) - with a "30 years" logo. The job comes in two parts: 1. [By Monday 25th May] Produce 5 different designs for the logo, showing main text "Celebrating 30 years in business" with subsidiary text (some or all of) the different mathematical ways of expressing "30" (see 30.PDF attached). The size and format of the logo is to be as currently (PNG: 404 x 420), to be superimposed on the blue banner graphic. The currently 25-year logo is black and white, which we think works well; if you want to suggest colour for one or two of the designs, it should match our main blue-yellow-red branding (attached). 2. [By Thursday 28th May] After we choose the design we like best - Produce two matching logos in that design: a) The original "Celebrating 30 years in business" as in the design stage above [We intend to use this logo for the first month after the anniversary] b) A logo to match, wih different main text "30 years product experience" [We intend to use this logo after the first month].
Character design in SVG
I am looking for someone with SVG skills and creativity for creating a "number creature" (you can look at the "number creature" Pi that is used on the 3blue1brown channel on YouTube). I would like to make something similar with some details. I will use a library in Python called MANIM to animate the SVG, then the creature will start to move and talk about mathematics and other subjects on YouTube. I just need help on creating the creature design and its expressions (sadness, happiness, curiosity, etc).
Measurement calculation
Please see the attached example of two methods to calculate the area of a road. I need to know the best or most accurate method between the two on the spreadsheet. I need a mathematical explanation, preferably with a diagram to illustrate the difference between the calculated methods. On the example - Method 1 multiplies the length (from one to chainage point to the next) by the averaged width at those two chainage points. The sum at each chainage point (excluding 0) is summed to total the 1,730.98 m2. Method 2 multiplies the total chainage (i.e. length) by the average of all the widths (all at once) to total the 1,752.36 m2. As you can see, there's a 21.38 m2 variance between the methods, which over larger areas will become greater.
Badge for a military flag
I want to design a military type badge to represent STEM (https://www.gov.uk/guidance/defence-stem-engagement#defence-stem-engagement) The design needs to be circular - or able to fit into a square - and must represent four disciplines: science, technology, engineering and mathematics . Simple shapes are best - no intricate detail. Silhouettes are fine. Plain flat colours. No tints, gradients, or half-tones. Must be produced as a vector

Graphics for Lingerie Fashion Brand - Goddess of Snakes
Hello I am looking for some concepts to be designed which can be used for packaging & on our websites. The graphics need to be high res and royalty free (if required). The work can be more conceptual at this stage. Our brand is corset-story.com, I found that the first documented record of a corset (possibly) dates back over 3000 years to a Minoan goddess as below; https://www.fashionologiahistoriana.com/costume-history-legends-essays-in-english/the-minoan-snake-goddess-did-she-really-wear-a-corset It looks as though this lady was the template for the Greek Goddess Athena. Both goddess's are associated with snakes and gold which I would like to use in our graphics (she was also associated with wisdom, courage, inspiration, civilization, law and justice, strategic warfare, mathematics, strength, strategy, the arts, crafts, and skill..............but I am not sure how we could represent these in graphics?) Corsets have a rich history which is might be used in the graphics. The designs need to be tasteful & have a high-end feel (well as tasteful as black and gold snakes can be) The graphics I require need to be mainly black or white with gold. We are trying to produce the following but need some inspiration; i) Branded Boxes for shipping order in ii) Branded tissue paper iii) Swing tags for our corsets iv) Promotional banner (1500px 200px) I appreciate your time, let me know your thoughts

Create a short clip/animation start to finish of a haystack zooming into a needle..
Uncertain what category this should come under but what I require is a short clip that can be uploaded on to a holding page for what will be a algorithm led search device. The clip will start with a photo (or photo-realistic CGI NOT sketch-up style cartoon or low quality image) of a Haystack (pile of hay, hay bails etc) in the distance in a field and then gradually zoom in to a needle embedded in the hay. As it zooms in a variety of mathematical equations, computer code will float around pan off (like moving through space) to give the impression of the algorithm equations being processed in the background. Hopefully you will have seen such examples in films or the genius instagram filter and know what I am referring to! The zooming in will adjust course to a specific point in the hay as if determined by those equations to eventually reveal a needle (like the attached images). Text will then appear overlaid on the resting image of the Needle saying something like "It's amazing what can be found if you know how" or "everything wants to be found". I do not have any source material so I assume this will require some amount of video animation and creativity to achieve the result - unless you happen to be local to a farm with a haystack in a picturesque setting! :-)) Feel free to answer any questions. Please do not bid for this work unless you have the technical experience to complete this to a high standard and have worked on similar projects. DO NOT JUST SEND A GENERIC EMAIL. To clarify the end result should appear to be that of an photo being zoomed in from say 100 yards to a few centimeters and showing a needle in clear photo definition within some hay. The zoom should be continuous and even there is no need for music. The clip will be approximately 10-15 seconds. This must look photo realistic and not graphics. I have a sensible budget for the right candidate who can produce results! Images attached are examples only and I would prefer some degree of creative input and suggestion.

I need an updated logo, design theme guideline and a colour palette for a new website
Information for the business: We are a Guild of church bellringers Type of logo: Emblem Brand name/slogan in logo: Oxford Diocesan Guild of Church Bellringers Number of revisions: 2 Ideas for the visual style: A tweak of current logo desired Where the design will be used: new website - see link Extra notes: http://odg-dev.timsawers.com/ Bellringers are serious, mathematical types immersed in a heritage pastime based in churches so nothing too frivolous! They like detail and they love beer and pubs so we were considering a look from a pub environment might work? We are building the new website in Joomla and are looking for a budget input of design - perhaps just a tweak of the logo and some guidance on a colour palette. We are considering using photos of Oxfordshire countryside and views of Oxford city for the home page (though not fixed on this so open to ideas)
