Description
Experience Level: Entry
We have a community organisation that supports various projects across Greater Manchester. Two important fact are that:
a) we use 14-19 year old on a lot of the projects
b) we construct videos and post the content online
We need to find someone that can support the development of the participants, specifically, their creative writing skills. The task could also be described as helping them to tell stories. Developing their story telling skills, we've concluded, will improve their ability to construct story-lines for the content we produce and share.
Ideally the person suited for this job should have:
a) the ability to work with the age group listed above
b) capable of providing online based support i.e. video conferencing, 1-to-1 support online
c) experience with telling stories (storytelling has many forms i.e. blogging, writing, screenwriter, editor) and the ability to help others to tell stories. Ideally supporting their ability to understand the elements of an engaging story-line, getting them to put it into practice and to improve their skills.
d) some experience with constructing story-lines
How long will we work together?
The project is ongoing and I prefer to use this as a recruitment process to understand if we can work together.
How will pay work?
Ideally, i'd like to have a few hours (this will be dependant on budget) a week, where we achieve the goals set in the previous week. This will be driven by the budget the organisation has, but must also ensure the kids involved have enough work to make progress between sessions.
Payment will be fortnightly, through PPH
How is it all going to work?
If your interested, please get in contact and we can work through this part. I don't have all the answers, sorry!
