Experience Level: Intermediate
I need a report written that will be downloadable from my personal training website. People will come to the report via a postcard given to them (with a web address) by a fitness equipment hire company on installation of their equipment.

The report is aimed at giving advice on how to get the best from their equipment hire and will also contain a special money off offer to redeem against personal training sessions.

Ideas for the individual tips may include the following or any other ideas you have:

Start slowly
Build up gradually – 10%
Use a heart rate monitor - include equations
Don’t stretch before – mobilise/walk
Use music or television
Use a fan
Include intervals
Use a minimum of 1% gradient for a treadmill
Cycle at 80-90rpm
Row at no more than 30 spm
Push harder with the legs to row quick – long and strong
Look forwards on the treadmill not down
Set a distance or time goal for each session/week/month
20 minutes 3 times per week is the minimum to see improvement
30 minutes 5 times a week is ideal
Have a drink handy
Have a sweat towel handy
Cover the instruments so the time goes quicker
