Hi.
As part of a larger ongoing research project for a health access advocacy group, I need somebody to do some research into currently open tenders and funding opportunities being offered for medical research into specific neglected diseases.
The research will focus on offerings from the private sector, especially funds offered by companies in the oil/extractive industry. (Who apparently offer significant funding in this area).
Details of the specific diseases we're looking at (along with other information on the project) will be provided once the work starts.
The research would then have to be organized into a pre-structured excel file, which would be the project's deliverable.
In total, I have budgeted 10 hours for this research. If the research is very successful, and you feel there is a lot more that could be compiled, I'm happy to negotiate additional hours beyond this.
As you dive into the research, and discover new opportunities and directions which we may have missed, you are welcome to suggest new ideas and alterations. If it seems like a valuable area to explore, we could then negotiate additional funding for developing any such emergent areas of research.
Knowledge of the the medical world - or at least, familiarity with the lingo - would be a plus, but not necessary. A quick study with strong research experience would be welcome.
Research will be desk-based, mostly online, although there may be occasions where you may have to call a few companies and get some clearer information from them directly.
Cheers! Look forward to hearing from you.
J.
