Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
It is a very basic pinball game for a product launch.
We need to have two screens: 1 is a 4 digit 7 segment, the other is a 8 digit 7 segment screen. The screens are controlled via SPI, with MAX719 chips.
When the Arduino is first powered there is a simple holding screen to show the game is ready to start - a scrolling '0' or similar. A start button is pressed and the game begins. The small screen displays the clock which begins to countdown from 30 seconds - shown as '0030' descending.
During the 30 second countdown, when a contact closes (the pinball hits a bumper) the large screen shows an increasing score of 1000 points with each hit.
After the 30 seconds, the final score remains shown for 10 seconds before looping back to the holding screen.
That's it. Nothing fancy, just a very basic game.
Thanks.
