Description
Experience Level: Expert
We are looking for a freelance fundraiser to help us in our mission to build good relations between people of all faiths and beliefs, and to create a society where difference is celebrated.
The Faith & Belief Forum has worked for over 20 years to create spaces in schools, universities, workplaces and the wider community where people can engage with questions of belief and identity and meet people different from themselves.
We were founded in 1997 as the Three Faiths Forum. Over the years our work expanded to include people of all faiths and beliefs, both religious and non-religious. In 2018, we changed our name to the Faith & Belief Forum to better reflect this inclusive ethos. See the annexe at the end of this document for summaries of key Faith & Belief Forum programmes.
We are seeking to instruct an experienced freelance fundraising professional on a short-term basis to develop and submit applications to trusts and foundations between September and December 2018. They will work with the Development and Fundraising Manager to scope appropriate targets.
The fee for this work is £4,800 inclusive of VAT and expenses.
The consultant will be required to invoice the Faith & Belief Forum for fees (30% on signing of contract, 30% at mid-way point, subject to deliverables achieved, 30% on completion) and will be responsible for their own National Insurance and tax. (Please note there is potential for discussion regarding the payment schedule; furthermore, payment is not dependent on successful applications.)
Application information:
We are looking to fill this role as soon as possible so please submit:
A biography or CV.
A proposal explaining how you would approach the work and explaining how you meet the criteria detailed above (no more than 600 words).
Two references or testimonials from recent clients.
Please send submissions to info@faithbeliefforum.org
The deadline is Monday 13 August at 9am. Shortlisted proposals will be notified by Wednesday 15 August with interviews (either face-to-face or in person) scheduled for week commencing 20 August. You’ll be asked to provide two examples of bids that you have worked on.
Unfortunately, we cannot accept applications from individuals without the right to work in the UK.
We request no contact from agencies regarding this project
