Description
Experience Level: Expert
What I need or require:
A person with good local knowledge of Brighton, UK and English as a first language to research and create an interesting self guided walking tour of the city.
The guide will need to have about 8-10 A4 pages of writing with a mixture of pictures and text and instruct the user / tourist on how to find their way around and give them interesting information about the attractions they will pass on route.
An example of a similar guide can be seen here:
http://www.cityoflondon.gov.uk/things-to-do/visiting-the-city/walks-tours-and-architecture/Pages/self-guided-walks-and-tours.aspx
What I already have versus what the contractor will deliver:
The contractor will need to provide a completed MS Word document with their own original written work (all text must be the authors and not cut and pasted of the Internet or Wikipedia). If the freelancer can provide some photos (copyright free) that would be great but if not just an indication of what they think should be included eg. Pic1 - Brighton Pier etc.. It would also be useful if the author can mark up a map of the route - ideally this would be a google map or similar but this does not need to be pretty and can just be a scanned map with a pencil marking of the route on it if that is easier for you.
Other context/requirements that contractors will need to know:
The contractor will need to know how to use word.
Specific expertise/background that I am seeking:
Someone with common sense who would have an idea of what a tourist would be interested in and the ability to write about these items in a clear concise style that delivers the facts in an interesting way. Local knowledge of the city of Brighton would also be ideal.
As mentioned, Ideally the contractor would format the document, but if your expertise is writing and you are only able to do the text and basic layout this would be of interest too.
Timeframe for delivery:
Ideally 1 week
