Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Industry: Publishing/Journalism
Topic: Spiritual, Personal and Professional Development
Tone: Witty/Sharp
Extensive research needed: no
Extra notes: Seeking a UK based Copy Editor to thoroughly edit for grammar, spelling, and clarity all content but in particular an editorial and feature, contained in a monthly publication. This is a once a month commitment on your part but we are seeking someone with a team-player attitude and with a great personality. Although this is a freelance position, we consider this a long term role, akin to choosing the next member of our family.
Must be British, degree educated in English Grammar, be organised, creative, and a good collaborator with an awesome personality. You will also need a disclosure Scotland certificate (costs circa £20 - proves you're not a convicted criminal, and can be trusted with passwords and such).
Experience in journalism or publications preferred. It would be nice if you had some writing for the web experience in addition to publications experience. It would also be great if you used InDesign CC /Adobe Creative Suite so that you could read/edit directly in the layout to save time. Referencing plus a Skype interview will be conducted as part of the selection process. If we proceed to offer stage, we will ask you undergo the disclosure Scotland process - which takes about a week. You may of course apply in advance of this, as the certificate comes to your home address and is a strong asset to your freelance career.
