Description
Experience Level: Entry
Estimated project duration: Ongoing
Hi there,
We're looking for 1-2 freelance proofreaders who can edit around 10,000-20,000 words a day. The content itself is fun, informal, long entertainment pieces (over 2,000 words each) for infotainment/listicle/viral sites. This is NOT academic editing - an informal tone is a must.
You must be FAST (we've found each 2000-3000 word article should take no longer than half an hour), with a keen eye for detail, and a native English writer. We will decline all applications by those who aren't native so please don't waste your credits applying if you're not! All of the content is alredy run through Grammarly and edited by the writer, so there are generally few mistakes to pick up on. However, we have too much work for our current editor.
We write for a US English audience so you must know the differences between color/colour if you're from the UK.
This is long-term work and we treat our freelancers very well - including invites to all of our summer/winter parties, goodies on your birthday, and so on.
If you're looking for a role where you feel like part of the team, while also getting to work from home, then this is the one for you.
Proofreaders will go through a trial period to ensure we're a good fit.
Please quote your hourly price and let us know how many words you think you can do in that hour (bearing in mind the details above) so have a comparison point between candidates.
