Experience Level: Expert
I am currently writing a new thriller. It is similar in content to John Grisham and/or Robert Ludlum. I have very lucid dreams with very exciting plots and have decided to start writing them out.

I am a mature student currently studying Politics so am used to academic writing as opposed to creative writing. I am therefore looking for someone to either co-write with me, or to purely edit my manuscipt as it progresses.

I have the storyline written out, with basic chapter summaries. The story centres on an armed robbery that takes place in an expensive department store in America (havent decided yet which city) although this could be changed to London. The story includes intelligent rookie cops, bent senior cops, courtroom drama, witness intimidation, justice, human closure. The reason I believe my book will have an edge is that it includes both high octane action as well as courtoom drama.

My proposal is this. I/We complete a few chapters and a book proposal which we then sell to a publisher. We split the advance, then you take a percentage of royalties depending on depth of involvement as well as size of initial advance. If we co-write, we will split everything 50/50 plus have both of our names as authors, if that is what you wish. I can, however, afford a small amount of $500-$1000 for initial work.

Experience writing fiction books within thriller genre. Also must be experienced in writing book proposals and liaising with literary agents and publishing houses. Knowledge of the American police and judicial system also preferable.

As this project area is entirely new to me I am more than willing to be open to suggestions. It is also vitally important that I get on well with the writer/editor.

I look forward to hearing your proposals.
