Description
Experience Level: Entry
Num. of articles: 1
Words per article: 500-600
Industry: Education
Topic: A Level Exams
Tone: Instructional/Educational
I need a blog post written aimed at those sitting their A Levels this year. It should be about understanding university offers and what happens next. The audience are generally high achievers so will be looking at getting A's and B's, but for relatively competitive universities.
Suggested outline:
1. How will I know what I need to get into my university of choice?
• When you should receive your offers (end of May if applied before Jan 15th, 20th July if applied after this)
• Receive email – logon to UCAS Track – find uni and click on course code
2. What is a conditional offer?
• Given with grades (most common)
• Given with points
3. Why is my offer different to what’s stated in the university prospectus?
4. Do I need to get this grade in all of my A Levels?
5. Can I include General Studies?
6. Will I need to attend an interview?
7. What if I don’t get the grades I need?
• Still possible (www.thecompleteuniversityguide.co.uk/universities/results-day/what- if-i-just-miss-my-grades/)
• Clearing
• Retaking exams
Emphasis needed on points 1, 2 & 7. The other questions only really need a 1 or 2 line answer.
General info for the post here (do not copy!): http://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/content.php?r=16175-understanding-conditional-offers
I need this piece delivered by end of the day on Monday 1st. This could become regular work for the right person.
No more than 600 words. The writing needs to be concise, easy to read, no fluff, lots of white space (i.e. short sentences/paragraphs)
Please supply a sample of your writing. Native English speakers only please.
