Hello!
I'm getting in touch on behalf of a lovely client, Migrate Energy (migrate.co.uk) and we're looking to get two 450 word blog articles written :) Deadline - by next Weds. Topics below with a bit of guidance:
1) How to give to charity by doing everyday things - i.e. https://www.techlicious.com/how-to/3-ways-to-give-to-charity-by-doing-everyday-things/
2) How to be a conscious consumer on a budget - i.e. https://www.nytimes.com/2019/10/01/smarter-living/sustainabile-shopping-conscious-consumer.html
With:
- a little plug for Migrate in both of them.
- not just green energy and sustainability stuff, think more broadly in terms of social impact
- our values ringing through (below)
To be used:
- On social
- SEO a bonus
Who are we?
Migrate is a brilliant young business that helps you save money on your energy bills while helping vulnerable people stay warm, as well as contributing to local grassroots energy projects. Migrate donates at least £10 (roughly 1/3rd of profits) for every energy switch to these causes
Background
So far, we've published lots of content on energy-saving but not much about the social impact side of things. Part of our strategy is to position ourselves more strongly around the conversation around responsible business, profit with purpose, social value and impact. Hence the work! This will be the first content of this sort we're trying.
Dos/Don'ts
1. Green living and sustainability is the hot topic at the moment but we'd rather these articles didn't solely focus on those - instead, it's more about the many ways you can make an impact through your everyday habits
2. Feel free to link to other companies (we'll use a nofollow and give them a shoutout on social). The BCorp directory could be a good one as we'll be applying shortly.
Tone
Authentic and accessible - need to be a more human and real antidote to the big gimmicky comparison industry.
Confident - a new player needs confidence to inspire it in others. But never cocky, we’re actually quite humble. Quietly confident?
Warmth in spades - community-minded, inclusive, we care about people and making a difference
Positive and optimistic - vs pervading cynicism, rip off language in energy.
Let me know if you need any more information and if you're up for the work!
Best,
Steph
