Conclusion
Extensive research needed: no
Extra notes: I need around 1500 words written up on the subject of rehoming a rescue dog.
A detailed framework with resources is provided, but I also need someone with initiative to do further research / edit the headers and layout if needed so it reads as well as possible.
The resources are for information gathering purposes - don't reference them directly unless stating stats etc.
We want to seem an authority on the subject.
The client is a pet insurance company and it will sit in their 'pet information' section, so will need to be pretty awesome.
Below is a brief gist of what I expect from a copywriter:
I currently use several copywriters here, and I need to be cutting down the amount of time I spend proofing and editing the content so it reaches my expectations/standards. My main criteria are well researched articles or guides, sticking to the brief but also using initiative too (not including images – I add them after)
For every piece of content, it needs to be factually correct, backed up with sources where applicable. I will provide a detailed framework with resources to use as well. It must be written in a tone of voice suitable for the target audience, and must be proofed – I spend too much of my time going over and proofing/amending copywriter’s content and it is time I do not have, which is one of the reasons I am looking to start working with a better calibre of copywriter. Of course, I will proof the content for context and sense check it, but I don’t want to be spending my time making grammatical amendments etc.
If it sounds like you are the right person for the job then I look forward to reading your proposals.
Should this go well, there would be plenty more work to come - I am always on the look out for copywriters I can trust to deliver top work.
