Description
Experience Level: Entry
Estimated project duration: 1 day or less
I have designed a questionnaire to explore the impact of biological factors on investment behaviour.
My research questions are:
1. Do male and female executives have different appetites for risk?
2. Is there a relationship between prenatal testosterone (as measured by the 2D:4D Ratio) and risk aversion in male and female executives.
3. Does cognitive ability (as measured by age) impact executives financial risk behaviour.
Therefore my dependent variable for the project is Risk. This is measured in 2 different ways in my questionnaire - through hypothetical choice tasks (Questions 6 and 7) and self-report questions (Questions 2, 3 and 4)
My independent variables are Age (Question 20) which I want to compare to the financial literacy in order to draw conclusions on cognitive aging. I think I would need to do a MANOVA with financial literacy as the second dependent variable but I do not know if this is correct. Financial literacy will be measured through Questions 12 - 18 and then the total number of correct answers will be expressed as a percentage out of 100 in a new variable.
Gender (Question 21) and Hormones (Questions 9 and 10) are the other independent variables in this research.
I would like assistance on what types of SPSS analysis I will want to conduct on the data in order to answer my research questions and therefore I want to know if my variables are on appropriate scales for the analysis to be valid.
