Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Estimated project duration: Not sure
Num. of words: Unknown
Website url: http://www.block8.co.uk
Information for the blog/website: We provide web development consultancy and build services
Industry: Internet/Software
Tone: Formal/Professional
Outline & Structure: Consultancy
This is aimed primarily at company owners / directors / heads of, etc. that realise that they have a problem with their development function (team, outsourcing or otherwise) - but don't know how to fix it. Situations such as a team that is not performing, had failed to hit some really important deadlines, weren't delivering what they needed to deliver, etc.
I want to provide a service to come in and help fix that, setting up development best practices, reviewing the team, helping with recruitment, tech, etc.
This would naturally also extend to companies that have no development function, need one, but have no idea how to get started.
Build
This is aimed at two separate groups of people:
1. Companies that don't have a development function in-house, don't want one, but do need something building. Think systems like CMS', internal tools, data analysis tools, etc. rather than web sites.
2. Companies (like perhaps digital agencies) that want to offer design (and potentially front-end web development) but don't have the facility to offer back-end development services, or don't want to have that facility.
In addition, it would be a logical extension that the company would also offer overflow development services for agencies that do have the facility to offer back-end development, but are too busy to take on a given project.
What I'm looking for, from a content point of view, is:
- Web site content to reflect the above (plus catchy home-page copy, and so on)
- A press release (or set of press releases) about the company and it's launch
Extra notes:
