Description

Experience Level: Intermediate
The website is to be a peer-to-peer marketplace, where users can list their possessions themselves ( provided they have signed in into their personal account on the platform), providing description as well as photos and whatever else material seems suitable. Once the item is listed, it would become available for potential customers to search for it, using the name of the item as well as filters to narrow down their options, such as location of the seller, price, condition, payment method.
The actual physical exchange of the product and money can happen in two different ways
1. “ Collection in person” type of deal
2. Sending the item over the mail

The website would be using Paypal as a payment platform.
So far we are not adamant on the exact billing procedures. However, we have thought about a percentage of each sale, billed to the seller and maybe a simple one-time small sum from the buyer (and maybe the seller for each listing).

There is to be an integrated messaging service that can be enabled between sellers and buyers. It is to serve as a mean to exchange details about the item if the buyer requires more elaborate information and as a “collection in person” communication service.

We have further thought that in order to make the website more seller-friendly, we would like to develop an app ( for iOS initially) that will allow the seller to list their item, uploading photoes and information and enable simple management of sellers listings. Nothing more complicated in terms of app for now but, of course, with the option to develop further updates for it in future.

Main aim of the idea is to be as easy to use and and as user-friendly as possible.
